Where Shared Land Meets Shared Responsibility
We're here to support meaningful work on the land, guided by science, respect and relationships.
Interface Environmental Ltd.

Interface Environmental is a small team of environmental professionals based in the West Kootenays of British Columbia. From BC to the Territories, we help people navigate projects on the land with steady support and field-based experience.
Our work includes field studies, environmental monitoring, sampling, permitting support, and project coordination. We also support engagement with communities and manage multi-partner environmental initiatives. Behind the scenes, we build spatial models and carry out cumulative effects assessments to help guide thoughtful decisions.
Whether we’re in the field, behind a map, or in conversation with clients and communities, our goal is to offer grounded support that respects both people and place.

Environmental Support for Projects, People, and Place
We support clients in understanding what's happening on the land, what regulations require, and how to move forward responsibly. Our role is to offer clear, useful insight that helps projects stay aligned, on track, and in good standing.
We aim to be a steady, respectful partner, providing grounded advice that supports both project goals and care for the places they touch.
Industry Expertise
Comprehensive Environmental Solutions
British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories
Environmental Assessment & Permitting
We support environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory processes - from technical review and cumulative effects assessment to plain-language summaries that help industry, Indigenous governments, and communities make informed decisions.
Restoration & Reclamation Support
We coordinate and oversee restoration and reclamation activities, providing on-site management, contractor oversight, and work sequencing aligned with site conditions and access constraints. Our team supports effective collaboration between proponents, contractors, and Indigenous partners, with clear tracking and reporting to ensure work plans are delivered as intended.
GIS, Spatial Analysis & Mapping
We provide baseline mapping and spatial analysis to explore patterns of disturbance and how projects, land use, and environmental values interact across a region. Our maps and figures support cumulative effects assessments, regulatory review, and clear communication with Indigenous partners, agencies, and other collaborators.
Monitoring, Compliance & Construction Support
We develop and implement environmental management plans that integrate permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and practical, contractor-focused mitigation measures. Our team provides on-site environmental monitoring and compliance support, including erosion and sediment control, wildlife monitoring, waste, soil, and invasive species management.
Technical Writing & Review
We prepare, contribute to, and independently review a wide range of environmental and technical documents to support regulatory, Indigenous, and internal decision-making. Our focus is on clear, well-structured writing that explains what was done, why it matters, and how findings inform implementation and next steps.
Cumulative Effects Assessment
Our scenario-based analyses provide clear insights that support informed planning and shared understanding of long-term effects.
Meet Our Team
